Visa and Customs
As a general rule, any foreigner seeking entry into the Kingdom of Thailand for business, investment, study, medical treatment, mass media, religion, employment and other purposes is required to apply for a visa from a Thai Embassy or Consulate-General. To do so, a foreigner must possess a valid passport or travel document that is recognized by the Royal Thai Government and comply with the conditions set forth in the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1979) and its related provisions. Visas and Travel documents can be viewed at http://www.mfa.go.th/web/12.php

Getting to Venue from the Airport:
The Rama Gardens Hotel is located 5 minutes (by drive) from the Bangkok International Airport (view map).

Local transportation leading to the hotel available as follow:
Taxis: Seek out the taxi desk located in the arrival hall of each terminal. They will set a rough estimate pricing for your standardized, metered fare, not to exceed THB150. Because of airport regulations on taxis, an additional THB50 surcharge will be added to the total fare. A tip of THB10-20 is a gesture of appreciation for their service.

Airport Limousines: The desks for making such requests are usually adjacent to the taxi desks at all terminals. A uniformed chauffeur will drive you to the hotel while seated comfortably in a sedan or luxury car. A flat fee of THB400 is charged.

Airport Limousines Service: 24 hours.
Contact: The Airport Limousines Counter Service Tel: (66 2) 982 4900, Fax: (66 2) 982 5100

Hired Car: If you want to experience driving in Bangkok, there are many car rental firms in Bangkok, including international rental companies such as Hertz, Budget and Avis. The road system is good and well posted with signs written in English. An international driving license is required.
